With the super-hot weather in the summer (I’m in the Oklahoma/Arkansas area but I think the entire world is hot right now), having an easy evening gathering is sometimes the best option to having people over.

After spending a long day out doing summer activities, sunset comes as a relief. Summer sunsets tend to come close to when I would normally start getting ready for bed, but summers are different. Evenings are the best time to be outside. Why not ask a couple friends over to enjoy an hour or two of

So, you don’t want there to be too much work involved in gathering a few friends. Here are the things I believe makes for a relaxing summer gathering.

  1. Cold Drinks. ICE ICE, BABY.
  2. Ice Cream, buy a tub or make your own.
  3. Charcuterie board. Keep it simple. A couple meats, cheese, and fruit.
  4. Sandwiches
  5. Relaxing music
  6. String lights or soft lighting

Even if you don’t have guests, you should do this for yourself and your household at least once this summer.

Try is refreshing drink

I made this for my family, and everyone said it was the best drink I have ever made. I used Somewhat Simples Non-Alcoholic Sangria Punch recipe but made a couple tweaks. I didn’t measure the Sprite, the orange juice, cranberry juice, or the pink lemonade (I bought premade pink lemonade) I poured them all until I had a full pitcher.

This drink was so good guys. If you want to make it alcoholic, then just add a splash of brandy and rum to your tasting.

Give them something cold to drink and eat and you will have some happy guests.
